Approximately 25 miles, 45 minutes driving. Depart Kahului Airport and proceed through several lights onto Highway 380/ Kuihelani Highway, to Highway 30, the Honoapiilani Highway. Turn left onto Highway 30. Proceed approximately 17 miles to the town of Lahaina. Continue 3 miles to Kaanapali. Turn left onto Kaanapali parkway and proceed approximately 1/4 mile to Kaanapali Beach Hotel on your left. Located in the heart of Maui's premier resort on one of Hawaii's best beaches. The beach is perfect for swimming and sunbathing or more adventurous activities such as sailing, jet skiing, parasailing, snorkeling, and scuba diving. Adjacent to the hotel are two championship golf courses and free transportation from the hotel is available. Whenever we go to Maui, we take lots of extra zip lock bags for sunscreen and etc. They are great for packing your damp bathing suits and wet sandals or water shoes on the return trip to the hotel.

Make sure to also pack plenty of moist towelettes in case there are not the lavish facilities at the beach to wipe the salt and sweat from your face and hands.

Make sure to pickup one of the "Things to do in Maui" pamphlets in one of the tourist racks at the airport or at your accomodation; they usually have some great discount Maui snorkeling coupons.
